About CAROLINE CAMPBELL
A musician and maker of objects in wood and other materials, I was very fortunate to discover this complex and fascinating craft, and soon found my ideal learning environment with two professional tutors in Newark-on-Trent. This was in 2010-2011.
Returning to Fife I set up my workshop, which until recently provided space for customers to try out instruments. However, since shifting operations to a much smaller space I can no longer accommodate visitors.
Currently working on my 32nd piece, a viola, and a small violin, pictured on right, the back, ribs and head of which are of birdseye maple. Quality of sound continues to be my No.1 priority, beyond which I am guided by the look and feel of each piece of tonewood.
